Third Meeting

The weather is not helping us very much getting this discussion group going. And the 4th Meeting will be hampered again, although I have finally gotten my driveway cleared. The notes for the third meeting are late, as usual. I will try to do better in the future.

Third Meeting Notes: A few of us met and two new people, Lori and Harry. Weather and other duties Kept a number of folks away. We discussed the results of Week 2 and I gave a sketch of the Week 3. The too late assignment for week 3 is tasks 4 and 7. For those when cannot attend tonight, we will do Week 4 this coming week and the new assignments will be tasks 3 and 5.

Second Meeting - 1.12.13

We now have a total of 9 people in the group. Marjorie and Lori joined us this week. We started with Check In and then discussed the work on Week 1. It was a very productive discussion. At the close I assigned chapter Week 2 and Tasks 2 and 7 for everyone to do. These are important because these will be assigned again toward the end. The goal is to try at least 5 of the 10 tasks. Morning Pages and Artist's Date are now assumed to be continued for the duration of this discussion group.

First Meeting Notes

The weather held off and we met for over an hour. I showed a Ted Talk given by Elizabeth Gilbert about creativity. Search for Ted Talks and then search for her name on that web site. This week we will be doing Week 1 in the Artist's Way. Please do Tasks 1, 2, and 8. Julia suggests doing at least half of the 10 tasks. Pick 2 more, if you have time, to do this week. I will ask you to check in, which means bringing the number of days you wrote Morning Pages and the number of pages written. Also bring a brief description of your Artist's Date and any questions or observations you have to share. See you all next Sunday night.
